About the event

On the menu for this session is Nutrition and Neurodiversity. This session explores the impact nutrition has on ADHD individuals and how being ADHD can influence eating habits. 


Dr Helen Lawal  (Nutritionist and Former NHS GP)  is joined by a panel of experts in the field to explore and discuss the evidence and consider practical solutions and neuro-affirming approaches.


This is a free online event via Zoom.

Dr Helen Lawal | Event Chair

Medical Doctor, Nutritionist and TV Presenter

Dr Helen Lawal is late discovered AuDHD. She has dedicated 20 years studying, training and working in the field of health care with degrees and qualifications in Sport & Exercise Science (Bsc), Medicine, Sexual & Reproductive Healthcare, and Nutrition and working in the NHS as a GP. Most recently she was a trainer on The National Autism Training Programme.

You might have also seen her on the tele on shows like Channel 4’s Food Unwrapped. In her own online Nutrition & Coaching Practice, she supports late discovered ADHD women to overcome the overwhelm and make healthy eating their new normal in her 12 week 1:1 signature program- The ADHD Nutrition Prescription.

Will Martin BSc, PGCE, NPQ, DipCNM, mBANT

ADHD Nutritionist

Having walked his own neurodiversity journey, Will truly understands the challenges that come with feeling out of control. Now, as both a nutritional therapist and educator, he’s passionate about helping children with ADHD and autism thrive. Using evidence-based nutritional and lifestyle strategies, Will’s holistic approach goes beyond conventional methods to create real, lasting change for families.

Jenny Tomei (BA Hons, DipCNM, DipNCFED), mBANT, BACP)

Nutritional and Eating Disorder Therapist

Jenny Tomei is a qualified Nutritional and Eating Disorder Therapist, Personal Trainer and Public Speaker. She was diagnosed in her early 30’s with ADHD. She runs JenUp Community a Social Enterprise based around early intervention and prevention of eating disorders. She delivers staff training on eating disorders in schools, and workshops for students on eating disorder awareness and body image. She also works on a one-to-one basis with clients with eating disorders who are ADHD and autistic.

Lucinda Miller BSc, MGNI, MRNI, MH, FMU, AFMCP

Family Naturopath and Founder of NatureDoc

Lucinda Miller is the highly respected founder of NatureDoc – a UK-wide team of Nutritional Therapists and Naturopaths who all place Functional Medicine at the heart of their practice. She is the triple bestselling author of ‘Brain Brilliance’, ‘The Good Stuff’, and ‘I Can’t Believe It’s Baby Food’ and as a mum of three herself, her love of children shines through in everything she does. She, her husband and two of their children live and thrive with ADHD and therefore her clinical work specialises in feeding young brains and how best to support the neurodivergent mind.
She is a respected lecturer in paediatric nutrition and is hugely in demand across schools and corporates.
