Neurodiversity and Co-occurring Differences: We Don't All Fit into One Box!
Thursday, 24 March 2022
10:00 - 11:30 GMT
About the event
Many people have more than one neurodiverse condition as neurodifferences can overlap or be part of a spectrum. Therefore, people may not experience the same challenges as others, or may experience those challenges in different ways or at different times.
Similarly, when we are talking about inclusion, it’s important to not just focus on one individual neurodifference at a time. A wide variety of strategies and adjustments may be required.
Join us for an exciting panel on discussion on Neurological Differences. Specifically, we will explore:
-
Defining and understanding co-occurring differences
-
Decoding the overlap between differences like Autism and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
-
How to recognize the flags of an undiagnosed overlapping neurodivergence
-
The barriers to diagnosis
-
The benefits of having individual diagnosis
-
Examples of adjustments and support
As this is a panel discussion, there will be lots of time for questions and interaction with you!
This is a free online event via Zoom.
